Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Children and extra bed policy

Children of any age are allowed. A cot for children up to 2 years is free of charge.

Cleanliness

Generally reported as clean (explicit 'It was clean', 'RAS' comments) and rooms appeared well maintained with no notable cleanliness complaints.

Service

Staff are often described as highly available, polite and friendly (dinner and spa teams repeatedly praised), but a few guests noted brusque or unfriendly reception and occasional bar-staff rudeness, giving a mixed but overall positive impression.

Location

Consistently praised for being very close to town centre and railway with exceptional views; location is a clear strong point.

Room Quality

Rooms described as spacious with great views and good decor, but several negatives: uncomfortable pillows, some beds felt too firm, missing bar-fridge in some rooms and occasional TV/antenna issues.

Amenities

Spa and facilities are often highlighted positively, but there are recurring complaints: spa can be small, not a thermal spa (chlorinated pool), and some missing in-room amenities (fridge); mixed amenity experience.

Location and Accommodation

Lykke Hotel Chamonix "ex Mercure" is nestled at the foot of Mont Blanc, offering modern lodging and a round-the-clock reception. Just a short stroll to the gondola lift leading to Aiguille du Midi, guests can easily access the majestic mountains. The rooms, split between two buildings, feature amenities like flat-screen TVs and private bathrooms, with some boasting balconies and stunning Mont Blanc vistas.

Dining and Leisure

Savor the flavors of Savoie at La Cordée, the on-site restaurant, while in summer, relish panoramic Mont Blanc views from the terrace or unwind at the Le 4810 bar. With an array of leisure and sports activities in the vicinity year-round, there's never a dull moment at Lykke Hotel Chamonix.
